If you become disabled stop by the office and pick up an “Attending Physician Form” which will reduce your dues to $24.50 while under doctor’s care.
Retirees are $10 per month (over 62), $16 (under 62).
The International allows sixty (60) days for payment of monthly dues and they will be strictly enforcing the suspension language found in the Union’s Constitution.
Dues payments are to be paid by the first day of the month. Acceptable forms of payment are check, money order, or card. If paying by mail, include your membership card and payment. We will stamp and return cards with receipt. We can currently process credit card payments via phone. Just call the the office at (805) 643-5487 and speak with one of the office staff.
*NOTE: If you have not paid your dues for a period of two months, your Secretary-Treasurer will be forced to suspend you according to the Union’s Constitution. At that point, you will have to pay $25 LATE FEE, in addition to the $49 for the months of reinstatement. If you are out for a period of one(1) year, you must pay the entire initiation fee of $598 to rejoin the Local. PLEASE DON’T LET YOUR DUES LAPSE!!!!
AFTER ONE YEAR BEHIND IN YOUR DUES YOU WILL HAVE TO REJOIN THE UNION. IF YOU GET SUSPENDED YOU MAY BE SUBJECT TO LOSING YOUR BENEFITS THAT YOU HAVE ACCUMULATED AND CAUSE FOR REMOVAL FROM YOUR EMPLOYER UNTIL PAID IN FULL. POSSIBLE LOSS OF YOUR JOB IF YOU FAIL TO REMAIN CURRENT.
Rollcall And Dispatch Hours
Rollcall
The OUT OF WORK LIST is activated every Monday of the week. Roll Call will be held on the first Monday of each month, between 7:00 am and 9:30 am.
If Roll Call is prevented due to the first Monday of the month falling on a contractual holiday under the Master Labor Agreement, then it will be held the following business day.
If you do not call in for roll call, unless excused because of a documented personal medical emergency or an emergency involving your children, spouse, or parent, you will be dropped from the out-of-work list. In the event of an emergency, if you call within two days (excluding weekends or contractual holidays) of a missed roll call and provide appropriate documentation from a treating physician by no later than two days (excluding weekends or contractual holidays), then you will be restored on the out-of-work list. Otherwise, you will be removed from the list and you will have to re-register your availability by filing a signed registration form with the local union.

Dispatch Hours
Regular dispatch hours are every weekday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
All dispatches will be made by telephone. The Local Union will call members on the telephone numbers they have on file, therefore it is the responsibility of the members to keep their telephone numbers current with the local.
Members must be prepared to go to work between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. should they receive a dispatch. If a member refuses work or is unavailable to work without an excuse during dispatch hours, then he/she will be removed from the out-of-work list.
If a member does not answer the phone during dispatch hours, then he/she will be deemed unavailable, which will drop him/her from the list. Always be ready to answer the phone to receive a dispatch during dispatch hours.
All members must be current with their dues to receive a dispatch order.
